6.01.07 Our most recent show was in July of last year at C'Stone, after which Josh and Jenny hit the road to move to Atlanta. Derek and Brandon have kept busy being adulty and playing in the alt-country outfit Redfoot (new full length The Winnowing Fork coming soon...).
Anyway, to keep it short and sweet, we have decided to make one last recording of the three last songs we wrote as a band, "Dixie Death March", "in Memory of Harold Watanabe" (the hardcore one), and um...the song Brandon wrote about the ant that sounds like the Foo Fighters. Anyway, Josh will be making a couple trips up here to practice and record in the coming months, and we will have ONE or TWO LAST SHOW(S) here in BG and/or Owensboro by the end of the year. We will be giving out the new record to all of our friends and liquidating all of that oh-so-collectible SK merch, never to be pressed again.

Thanks everyone we have shared fond memories with the past seven years. We'll let you know all the details as we figure stuff out. We hope to see you soon.....

12.17.06 We're all still alive. Derek and Brandon are still playing with alt country/folk/roots band Redfoot with friends Cort Basham, Ryan Staples, and Chardla Dell Majors. Had a great time at "A Very Redfoot Christmas" show last night! A great crowd of family and friends joined us for some traditional and original Christmas music. SK producer Jon Doss is working with Redfoot on their first studio release, as yet untitled. Derek is also working on a new rock project with Josh DeArmond, formerly of Blue Orphan Rescue. They're currently scouting new members, and the sound is not too far from the sounds you're used to hearing from SK, with a new twist in the rhythm section. Josh and Jenny just celebrated their 1 year anniversary! Congrats to them! Hope everyone has a great Christmas- check out our Merch page for some great deals on everything we've got- give the gift of SK!

7.29.06 New site design and Cornerstone pics are up! We're not playing shows right now, so I've gotta stay busy somehow, right? The new sight will be brighter, and include some older SK pics that our longtime friends will surely enjoy. The newest shirt & button designs will be up on the Merch page soon too. For now though, there are finally "Buy Now" buttons, so you can buy our stuff securely via Paypal. As Greg Leppert once said, "welcome to 1998, Derek".

7.10.06 Cornerstone has come and gone, and we had a blast! Thanks to everyone who came out to support us on the Impromptu Stage and the Decapolis Label Showcase! It was great to see old friends (Run Kid Run, Tonja & Bryant) and make some new ones (Hardcore Food-sharing Dad Jon, Xnice crewX).

A lot of you guys have heard this, but for the uninitiated, Josh took a job in the Atlanta area this week. Derek and Brandon remain a stone's throw away from each other in Kentucky. What does this mean for the future of SK? We haven't decided that yet. Obviously things will change, but you haven't heard the last of us yet (whether you wanted to or not!)
